Why
Dig Up and Repair? (Excavation)
This
method has a high success rate and can be thought to be more
expensive, this is definitely not always the case.
Our crews of specialist drain layers are an essential part
of our team. Although most pipe-repairs today can be successfully
completed with the help of our new "NO DIG" pipe
repair systems, there still is a need for the hard-working
drainlayer. Pipes that are at a shallow depth or have lost
their structural integrity and cannot be repaired by pipe
patching or relining will most likely require excavation.
Our experienced teams repair 100's of drains per year as
their specialty is drainage repairs.
The
process often involves using a drain camera to survey the
condition of the pipe, pinpoint any defects or obstructions
and take a depth reading that transmits its location above
ground where the problem is situated. Once this information
has been obtained, the technician will then have enough information
to offer you the most suitable solution to your problem.

Once the "dig up and repair" solution is agreed
upon, one of our team of drainlayers will arrive at your property
and dig up the offending drainage section causing the problem.
This section can be replaced with new PVC sewer pipe which
is impregnable to tree roots.
A drain camera is then used to check for any other faults further
down the drain, if it was not possible to do so prior to digging
up the offending problem. From here the grounds are reinstated
to the normal condition and excess spoils removed. |
